Maryann McAllen

Running for Scottsdale City Council.

Maryann McAllen is a proud 59-year resident of Scottsdale; she has spent the entirety of my youth and adulthood building up my surrounding community. As a young child, her parents led by example and taught me to give back. Giving back to Scottsdale is why she chose to run for City Council. She has been married to her husband Sam for 31 years. They have had the pleasure of raising our four children in Scottsdale, and all that goes with being involved; supporting our Schools, being involved in Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, our Church, National Charity League, Yes to Children, East Scottsdale Little League, Scottsdale Soccer, PTO’s, and lots of Parks and Recreation Activities. Serving on the City Council is a natural fit. Maryann worked for the City of Scottsdale for 14 years in both the Recreation and Human Services Department. She has served in many community leadership roles and on nonprofit Boards. Recently she worked for Hospice of the Valley, where she ran the Midtown White Dove Thrift Store. Currently she is a small business owner in Scottsdale. She graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s in communication and a certificate in nonprofit studies.
