Running for Cochise County Board of Supervisors District 2
Joni Giacomino was born and raised in Bisbee, Arizona. She has lived in Cochise County for 60 years, living in the Sulphur Springs Valley and Bisbee. She has been an educator for over 35 years teaching in Douglas, Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Ft. Huachuca and Elfrida. She is currently the Dean of Students at Bisbee High School and is employed by the City of Douglas Aquatics Center. She has been a lifelong Democrat and supports what is best for the people. She graduated from Bisbee High School in 1978 and received her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University. She received her MAEd in Secondary Education and Principal certification from University of Phoenix, a Masters in Recreation, Sports and Tourism with an emphasis in Sports Management from the University of Illinois and a Master of Science in Biology from University of St. Josephs. She has served on the Bisbee Unified School District school board, Board of Directors for KBRP radio station and currently serves on the Bisbee City Council. I co-created a nonprofit, The L.E.A.P. Institute which provides science based activities for children of all ages. We currently are involved with M.A.T.E. ROV which is underwater robotics.
