Dr. Ashley Hodge

Running for SRP Council Division 5 District & Association

Dr. Ashley Hodge, a South Phoenix native and third-generation graduate of the Roosevelt Elementary School District, is deeply committed to her community. Her educational journey, rooted in South Phoenix, led to degrees in Social Work from Arizona State University and a doctorate in Behavioral Health. In May, she achieved her second doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California. Actively engaged nationally and locally, Dr. Hodge contributed to Red Cross Disaster Relief initiatives from 2019 to 2022. Currently, she serves as co-chair of the Education Committee at the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, advocating for health, education, economic empowerment, and civic engagement for Black Women and Girls. As a Governing Board Clerk in Roosevelt Elementary School District, Dr. Hodge is dedicated to preparing students for high school challenges. Her role as a Board Trustee for the Arizona School Board Association Insurance Trust underscores her commitment to educators’ well-being. Dr. Hodge promotes a holistic approach to education, emphasizing social-emotional learning and students’ physical and mental well-being. Her leadership aligns with her goals for the SRP Board: Advocating for environmental justice in the transition to clean energy. Increasing solar energy usage in Arizona. Raising awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable living. Ensuring council diversity and representation from various backgrounds.
