Cheryl Mango-Paget is an educational leader with over thirty years of experience, currently serving as Coconino County Superintendent of Schools. For the past fifteen years, Cheryl has played a pivotal role at the Coconino County Education Service Agency (ESA), securing over $28 million in grants and leading initiatives spanning various educational domains. Notable achievements include the development of mental health programs, provision of resources like teacherage for multiple Arizona districts, and agency facilitation of crucial training in the Science of Reading. Cheryl’s dedication to innovation is evident through her contributions to early childhood STEM education and professional development courses benefiting over 1000 teachers and students. Her outstanding work has earned her accolades such as the Arizona Women’s Achiever Award and two National Public Service awards. Cheryl is also active in professional organizations, serving on the board of the Arizona Association of County Officials. Prior to her role at Coconino County ESA, Cheryl excelled in various educational positions in Indianapolis, earning recognition like Teacher of the Year and multiple National Blue-Ribbon awards. With a Bachelors in Education from Indiana University and dual Masters degrees from Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis, Cheryl’s comprehensive expertise and unwavering commitment makes her an exemplary leader in education, dedicated to excellence and equity in Coconino County and beyond.
