Running for Coconino County Recorder
Aubrey grew up in the Southwest and has been a resident of Flagstaff since 2011. She is a committed mom and outdoor enthusiast whose political activism began in earnest in 2016. Most concerned with ‘the big picture’, Aubrey has worked to defend voting rights and elect people into government that will uphold the ideals of democracy and civil rights for every citizen. She has held various elected positions in the Coconino County Democratic Party through which she promoted civic engagement from the very diverse demographics of this immense and beautiful county.Within the Party, she was provided the opportunity to engage voters, learn the details of what goes into voter registration and getting something on the ballot, and observe the voting process up close and personal. This space also garnered her experience in organizing and managing hundreds of volunteers. She has applied her creativity and curiosity to increasing engagement in this most basic of civic rights. While Coconino has long enjoyed truly excellent election services and leadership, transitions are always a period where the future is changeable. Aubrey would consider it an honor to serve her community and country in this capacity, and continue the office’s record of integrity.Â
