Anne Carl is running to unseat one of Cochise County’s most formidable Election-denying conspiracy theorists, because she is committed to safeguarding democracy and community. Anne opposes extremism, which is unnecessarily dividing us and costing badly-needed resources for the real work of government. Anne’s professional qualifications include seven years as a criminal and civil Deputy Cochise County Attorney, when her civil representation included the Recorder and Elections, other county departments and schools. She served as acting-City of Bisbee Attorney, and ran her own law firm for ten years. In 2019, the State Bar recognized her pro bono service. Before becoming an attorney, she taught school and served as a community organizer and trainer, campaigning on environmental and social justice issues dear to her heart. Anne and her husband Al have served as foster parents, and are the proud grandparents of three. Together they started Old Bisbee Firewise, and they own and manage a small commercial and long-term residential property company. Anne’s platform includes integrity, accuracy, transparency, inclusivity, and voter engagement. A fair and accessible electoral process is fundamental to maintaining democracy and sanity. She cares about doing the job and will leave her personal politics out of it.
